US Marines to Evaluate Ditto Platform for Resilient Battlefield Data Sharing

The US Marine Corps has selected Ditto’s software platform for evaluation under Project Dynamis as it seeks to improve data sharing across contested battlefields without relying on centralized communications infrastructure.

The company said its platform will be assessed as part of the Assured Command and Control pillar of Project Dynamis, a modernization initiative supporting the US Department of Defense’s Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) concept.

Project Dynamis aims to help US Marines maintain a common operational picture even when traditional communications networks are disrupted during combat operations.

Ditto said its platform allows sensors, platforms, and networks to synchronize mission-critical data through self-healing mesh networks using Bluetooth, peer-to-peer Wi-Fi, mobile ad hoc network radios, and other internet protocol transports instead of centralized servers.

“The US Marine Corps has a long history of battlefield ingenuity and we are excited to contribute to that lineage,” Ditto CEO Adam Fish said.

US Expands Data-Centric Defense Programs

Project Dynamis is one of several Pentagon efforts to improve how military data is collected, shared, and synchronized across services.

The US Navy’s Project Overmatch continues to develop a secure naval battle network capable of linking ships, aircraft, submarines, and unmanned systems into a single operational picture. The initiative is a core component of the broader CJADC2 architecture, enabling faster information sharing between maritime and joint forces.

Meanwhile, the US Army is advancing Project Convergence, an annual experimentation campaign that integrates sensors, AI, long-range fires, and command systems across multiple domains. 

The US Air Force is also expanding its Advanced Battle Management System, which connects aircraft, satellites, ground units, and command centers through cloud-based networks and data-sharing technologies. It forms the service’s contribution to CJADC2.
