Drone software developer Swarmer has signed a data-sharing agreement with intelligence firm Molfar Intelligence to improve the performance of AI systems used on autonomous military platforms for Ukraine.
Under the partnership, Molfar will provide structured open-source intelligence datasets derived from drone footage, satellite imagery, and publicly available online sources documenting military equipment and battlefield activity, including social media.
Gathered data is subjected to a multi-layered verification process, including geospatial and temporal analysis, before being incorporated into Swarmer’s AI development pipeline.
The resulting datasets will be used to train and refine algorithms supporting target recognition, situational awareness, and autonomous operations.
Additionally, the partners plan to pursue opportunities with defense contractors, government agencies, and military organizations seeking to integrate verified operational intelligence data into autonomous and unmanned platforms.
More than four years of high-intensity combat have generated vast quantities of operational information, creating what Ukrainian officials and industry leaders view as a unique resource for training and validating defense algorithms.
“Ukraine produces something no peacetime military can generate — intelligence that has been verified under real combat pressure, every day, for over four years,” said Artem Starosiek, CEO of Molfar Intelligence.
Boosting AI Capabilities
The agreement comes as Ukraine increasingly seeks to leverage battlefield data to accelerate the development of AI-enabled military capabilities.
In May, Ukrainian officials discussed expanding the use of AI across air defense, battlefield management, and strike planning during talks with US software company Palantir Technologies.
Earlier this year, Kyiv launched the Defence AI Center “A1” to speed the integration of AI tools into military operations, while also advancing development of “Syaivo,” a sovereign Ukrainian large language model intended for government, economic, and security applications.
