Canadian Firms Calian and Cohere Partner on Sovereign Military AI
Canadian defense organizations could soon gain access to homegrown generative AI tools under a new partnership between Calian and Cohere.
The two Ontario-based firms will explore how secure, domestically developed artificial intelligence can support military decision-making, training, and operational readiness.
“Defense and security teams need AI they can trust, especially in sovereign, mission-critical defense environments,” said Cohere vice president of global public sector Davis Ferris.
