Mobilicom has secured a design contract to supply communications and cybersecurity technology for Israeli-developed autonomous weapon systems.
The Israel-based company said its customer, an unnamed defense technology firm, is developing AI-enabled autonomous weapon systems for drones and unmanned ground vehicles. Mobilicom has already completed delivery of the initial order.
The package includes licenses for the company’s OS3 cybersecurity software, ICE electronic warfare protection software, SkyHopper secure datalinks, and 10-inch Mobile Ground Control Stations.
According to Mobilicom, the award expands its role in autonomous defense systems by providing an integrated suite designed to protect unmanned platforms operating in contested environments.
“Autonomous systems face increasingly severe cyber and electronic threats every day, making security and communications resilience mission-critical,” Mobilicom CEO Oren Elkayam said.
Israel Advances Autonomous Systems
Israel has accelerated development of autonomous military technologies in recent years, with defense companies introducing new systems for both aerial and ground operations.
In November 2025, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems unveiled the L-SPIKE 1x loitering munition, a lightweight precision-strike system developed from the combat-proven SPIKE Firefly.
UVision Air also continues the expanded production of its Hero loitering munitions, including the Hero-120 and Hero-400EC. The firm has introduced autonomous flight, target acquisition, and attack capabilities for missions ranging from tactical infantry support to long-range precision strikes.
