DIA Seeks AI Platform to Reduce Defense Procurement Burdens

Amid a broader Pentagon push to apply AI to administrative work, the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) has launched a market research effort for an AI-enabled platform that could automate some of the military’s most time-consuming procurement tasks.

Through a Request for Information, the agency is seeking industry concepts for a next-generation acquisition system that uses generative AI and machine learning to streamline procurement planning, proposal evaluation, compliance checks, and other administrative processes.

The desired platform would operate in secure environments, helping contracting professionals automate repetitive tasks while improving efficiency and accuracy across the acquisition process.
